Plastic expressions of students with multiple disabilities

The thesis deals with the topic of the differences in human corporeality as uniqueness of our existence. It is divided into four parts. The theoretical part defines the concept of corporeality and the associated topics of self- concept, self-acceptance and self-presentation, with an emphasis on supporting the development of people with combined disabilities. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with the use of human body in art, especially modern art - action art, based on ritual, and body-art. The didactic part brings a proposal to adapt the curriculum of the school program of Ceramic Production for pupils with combined disabilities, by assigning suitable artistic tasks using the material of ceramic clay. The presented result is a series of art lessons - methodological sheets for four teaching blocks focused on the use of physical gestures, emotions and self-concept by students with combined disabilities. The aim is to involve pupils with all types of disabilities, and cause their conscious use of physicality in working with ceramic clay. The research uses the method of qualitative research, namely a questionnaire survey and participatory observation. Work with ceramic clay for teaching students with moderate mental disabilities at a one - year practical school

The bachelor thesis examines the work with ceramic clay for teaching students with moderate mental disabilities at a one - year practical school. The theoretical part of the thesis defines basic terms. Moreover, the theoretical part provides the specification of students with mental disabilities and the methods of their education, and briefly summarizes the history and methods of creating and decorating ceramics. The chapter on art therapy and artephiletics is also concerned with the application of these therapeutic procedures to the work with ceramics with mentally disabled persons. The practical part characterizes the objectives of the thesis, research methodology and data collection techniques. The objective was to design work procedures for two ceramic products such that these procedures may be used in practice for students at a one - year practical school. The procedures were developed based on experience and knowledge of technological procedures and adjusted to the students' individual needs and skills. As a partial objective, the practical part examines the extent of impact that the work with ceramic clay may have on the students' cognitive and motoric skills. This objective was accomplished through a qualitative research based on a participating observation, analysis of documents and interview. The research showed that during the period observed, the results of the work with ceramic clay were improvement in the students' communication skills, broadening of their vocabulary, boost in their self-confidence, improvement of seriality and emotional stability, fine motor activities, spatial orientation, length of their attention span and development of their creativity and imagination. The outputs of the bachelor thesis are based on teaching training experience and may well be inspiring for both beginning and experienced teachers who look for inspiration and guidance as to how and what ceramic products can be created. Moreover, the outputs may be used by leisure - time teachers for leisure activities or by creative parents. Taking into account students' individual needs, the section engaged in observation of individual students describes the pitfalls we faced in the creative process and the route we took to solve these pitfalls.
Processing art sculptures relative to the issue of eating disorders

This thesis deals with the problems of eating disorders. Objective of the thesis is definition of eating disorder, a description of the individual faults an as a practical part there is an artistic creation of specific disorders. Theoretical part includes characteristics, division and insight into history. There are described four forms of eating disorders: anorexia, bulimia, obesity and bigorexia. In the practical part is the visual processing of transformation of two excessive eating disorders- anorexia and bigorexia. It is treated as a sculpture ceramic including drawing.
The decorative facing of the staircase (glazed ceramic tiles)

This diploma thesis is divided into two main parts {--} theoretical and practical. The practical part was focus on the proposing and creation of the tiles of the size 15 x 15 cm. 120 pieces were created for risers and 15 lateral tiles for the contiguous wall. The written theoretical part is mainly focused on the clarification of motivational sources which influence the process of this topic, the projecting of the staircase, and we can also find there the description of the technological procedures of the creation of the tiles with the account of used material.
Floodplain tones - decorated ceramics inspired by landscape motives

This thesis deals with the issue of collection of ceramic solitary dishes, which are decorated with colour pigments with landscape motives. Five individual objects, variable in shape, which form one complete set. These are five records of floodplain landscape, vineyards and fluvial forests. This thesis aims at connection between wall painting and ceramic material, connection of utility and free creation. The introduction is devoted to the theoretical knowledge; the second part develops technological and practical skills.
Women's stages (mixed media instalation)
